The HomeMatchup Verified badge.
Anyone can put a shield graphic on a website. This page exists so you can find out what ours actually required, and so you can tell the difference between a badge a company earned and one it drew.
What the badge means
When you see the HomeMatchup Verified badge on a pro, it means they passed all six checks in the verification standard we are building: license, insurance, written warranty, real reviews, background and standing, and a solid track record.
How pros earn it
- Submit and verify an active state license.
- Show proof of liability and workers' comp insurance.
- Offer a written workmanship warranty.
- Clear a review and reputation check, including the BBB.
- Pass a background and business-standing review.
It's re-checked every year
The badge is not forever. We re-verify each pro every year. If a license lapses or complaints pile up, the badge - and the pro - come off the platform.
For homeowners
The badge is your shortcut to trust. Instead of digging through license boards and review sites yourself, you see one shield that means we already did. Get matched with verified pros →
