What is eco-friendly pest control?

Eco-friendly pest control is a service approach that prioritises inspection, exclusion, sanitation and mechanical controls, then uses lower-impact or reduced-risk products when treatment is required - and reserves stronger conventional products for situations where softer tools fail or public health risk is high. It is defined by decision order, not by a single “organic spray.” Anyone can scent a baseboard with plant oils; fewer companies will walk away from unnecessary chemical use.

• You want pests reduced without routine broadcast spraying in living areas
• Children, pets, or chemical sensitivities make product choice central
• You prefer baiting, trapping and sealing over perimeter perfume

How eco-friendly pest control actually works

   Zero pests outdoors is rarely compatible with a low-impact programme. Indoor absence of key pests, bite reduction, or web reduction are clearer goals. Constraints - pets, organic garden edges, aquariums - belong in the file before product choice.

   When product is needed, reduced-risk, bait, dust in voids, or carefully placed residuals may beat space sprays. Botanical oils can help some nuisance pests and disappoint on others - residual life and target spectrum are limited.

   Watch for“Organic” used as a synonym for harmless. Plant-derived products can still irritate people and pets and still require label following.
