Concrete contractors pour and finish flatwork and structural concrete: driveways, patios, walkways, garage and shed slabs, steps, footings, and retaining walls, plus repair work like resurfacing and slab leveling. Most residential jobs are slab-on-grade flatwork, where the outcome depends less on the concrete itself and more on subgrade prep, jointing, finishing, and curing.
Plain broom-finished concrete flatwork generally runs about $5 to $8 per square foot installed, with decorative work climbing well past that: Concrete Network puts stamped concrete at $10 to $14 per square foot for a single pattern and color, $14 to $20 for mid-range designs with borders and multiple colors, and $20+ for high-end hand-colored work. A full concrete driveway typically totals $3,200 to $13,000 depending on size, finish and site work.
